Tube Laser Cutting & Laser Processing
Laser processing at Hunt & Hunt is a step in how we make parts, not a stand-alone job-shop service. Seven custom-built rotary tube lasers and our flat-sheet lasers work under the same roof as our CNC machining and robotic cells, so tube and sheet are cut, marked and machined in one Houston facility.
Our Laser Equipment
- BLM LT5.10 fiber laser tube cutting (see fiber laser cutting & marking)
- 7 custom-built rotary laser machining centers for tube
- Flat-sheet lasers, including a Trumpf 4030 CNC flat laser
- Fiber laser part marking and engraving
Laser cutting that feeds high-volume production
Tubes are laser-cut in-house and move straight into machining and robotic production, with no outside vendor and no shipping between steps. That means fewer handoffs, shorter lead times and one company responsible for the finished part.
- Complex profiles in one pass: Holes, slots and shapes in tube that would otherwise take several operations.
- Cut and marked: Parts can be fiber laser marked for identification and traceability.
- The right process for each cut: Our new automated saw for straight cuts, the laser for profiles and features.
Hunt & Hunt opened in 1954 as a small precision machine shop owned and operated by a husband and wife. Today laser processing is one part of a high-volume operation built on robotics and automation.
